INSTRUCTIONS
TO AUTHORS
»EXISTENTIA«
is published at the end of September, one volume (four issues)
per year. Deadline is on August 31st. Contributions in any
area of classical European thought and cross-disciplinary
studies are welcome. Clearly and purely philosophical works
are invited. About 15 philosophy articles are published
per year. Manuscripts are refereed blind. Average evaluation
time is two to three months. Preference is given to manuscripts
in Greek, Judeo-Christian and Roman to late antiquity, and
in the areas of phenomenology and hermeneutical philosophy.
Most articles are devoted to the philosophy of Husserl and
Heidegger. In the case of articles on ancient philosophy
we prefer discussion closely linked to the original texts.
Articles intended for publication should be submitted in
duplicate, and on computer diskette, preferably a
3 ½" disk in Word Perfect or Microsoft Word format for Windows
(a printout should always be included). Only original papers
will be published in first edition. Responsibility for the
views expressed in this international journal of philosophy
remains solely with the authors. Contributors are requested:
to give the exact postal address they wish mail to be sent
to, to return proofs corrected as soon as possible. If the
editors do not receive sheets within a reasonable time,
the text will be corrected on the basis of the manuscript,
but they decline all responsibility for mistakes due to
the original manuscript. The most treatises, essays, critiques,
commemorations, and bibliographies are accepted in English
and German, but very occasionally, a manuscript in French,
Italian or Hungarian. The contributions not written in English
should be accompanied by a short survey in English of approximately
400 words. Manuscripts must be typed, especially Greek and
Hebrew in quotation. All texts, including footnotes, should
be written double-spaced, with wide margins on all sides.
Footnotes should be assembled on separate sheets, and not
to give long titles to the articles, if possible. For questions
of reference and for abbreviations of classical authors
and periodicals, please consult L'Année Philologique.
All book reviews are invited. Unsolicited book reviews are
welcome. Preference is given to book reviews-essays. Submissions
and book reviews intended for publication, and books intended
for review, and all editorial correspondence by mail
should be sent to:
